Metered EV chargers with billing and access control, set up so each resident pays for their own charging and non-EV owners do not subsidise it through common-property bills.
From $2,990 (Per building set-up), including GST. Indicative starting price: the final fixed price is confirmed in writing after a site assessment.
When EV chargers are connected to common property, the owners corporation pays the electricity bill. Without billing, owners who do not drive an EV end up subsidising those who do. Our EV Charging Billing System addresses that: chargers are metered, each resident is identified before charging, and usage is billed back so every resident pays for their own charging.
Set-up is priced from $2,990 per building as an indicative starting price. The final fixed price depends on the number of chargers and the existing infrastructure, and is confirmed in writing after a site assessment.
We install EV chargers and the electrical infrastructure behind them, so billing is designed as part of a working charging system, not added as an afterthought. We set up the system with the committee and strata manager, explain the choices in plain English, and make sure chargers, metering and load management work together. After set-up, our team provides genuine after-sales support for the committee, the strata manager and residents.
Apartment buildings with shared EV charging, or a charging backbone, that need a fair way to bill residents for the electricity they use.
The owners corporation sets the rate residents pay, usually to cover the energy cost plus any platform or administration costs. It should be agreed at a meeting and, in some buildings, recorded in a by-law. Ongoing billing platform fees may apply and are shown in the quote.
Billing relies on a reliable internet or mobile connection in the car park, which can be weak underground, so the site assessment checks this. Adding chargers later is straightforward if the backbone and load management were designed for growth.
1. The committee or strata manager requests the service and tells us about existing chargers and car spaces.
2. We assess the car park, metering and connectivity, then provide a fixed-price written quote.
3. Once the owners corporation approves, our licensed electricians install or configure the metered chargers.
4. We set up billing, access control and resident registration.
5. We commission the system, test each charger and hand over to the strata manager.
The price shown is an indicative starting price; the final fixed price is confirmed in writing after a site assessment.
Installation requires owners corporation approval, and some buildings will also need a by-law.
Ongoing billing platform and connectivity costs, if any, are set out in the quote.
Existing chargers must be compatible with metering and billing or be replaced; this is confirmed at the site assessment.
Additional chargers and larger electrical works may need network approval.
