How you pay for solar and batteries can matter as much as which system you choose. Cash, equipment finance, leasing, a power purchase agreement and eligible government-backed loans each affect cash flow, ownership, maintenance responsibility and the total cost over time. Our Finance Options Assessment sets them out side by side for your project, in plain English, so you can have a better-informed conversation with your accountant and lender.

The assessment is $149 (indicative pricing), and the fee is credited against your installation if you proceed with Blue Energy Solar.

What's included

  • Review of your project scope and indicative system cost
  • Estimated energy savings used to compare each option consistently
  • Comparison of cash purchase, equipment finance, leasing and a solar PPA
  • Check of government-backed loan programs your business may be eligible for
  • Summary of ownership, maintenance responsibility, term and end-of-term position for each option
  • Indicative monthly cost versus estimated monthly savings, with the assumptions stated
  • A written summary to take to your accountant, financial adviser or lender

Why Blue Energy Solar

We design and install commercial solar and batteries, so the savings figures behind each option come from a properly designed system rather than a generic estimate. We lay out the options neutrally and explain the trade-offs clearly, including where paying cash or waiting may make more sense. Blue Energy Solar is a New Energy Tech Approved Seller, which some NSW government-backed finance requires, and our installers are SAA-accredited.

Recommended for

Business owners weighing up how to pay for solar and batteries who want the options laid out plainly before talking to their accountant or lender.

This is not financial advice. We are not licensed financial advisers or credit providers, and we do not recommend a specific finance product or lender. The assessment compares general features and indicative costs so you understand the options; approval, rates and terms are set by the lender or provider.

The tax treatment of each option, such as depreciation or the deductibility of lease payments, depends on your business, so speak to your accountant before deciding. Eligibility for government-backed loans depends on the program rules at the time you apply.

Directions

1. Request the assessment and share your project quote or site details.
2. We confirm the project scope and the savings estimate to use.
3. We compare cash, equipment finance, leasing, a PPA and eligible government-backed loans.
4. You receive a written summary of the options and their trade-offs.
5. If you proceed with a Blue Energy Solar installation, the fee is credited against the installation price.

Warnings

The assessment fee is credited against the installation price if you accept a Blue Energy Solar installation quote for the project assessed.
The assessment is general information only and is not financial, tax or credit advice.
Finance approval, rates and terms are decided by lenders and providers, not by Blue Energy Solar.
Savings estimates are indicative and not guaranteed; installation pricing is confirmed in writing after a site assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. We compare the options and explain how they work, but approval, rates and terms come from the lender or provider you choose. We can supply the quotes, system specifications and savings estimates a lender typically asks for, which can make the application process smoother once you have decided on an option.

Paying cash usually has the lowest total cost because there is no interest or provider margin, but it uses capital that may be needed elsewhere in the business. Finance, leasing and PPAs spread the cost, and some can be cash-flow positive from the start if savings exceed repayments. Your accountant can advise which suits your business.

Programs change, and eligibility depends on your business, location and project. The assessment checks which government-backed loan options are available at the time and whether your project appears to meet their basic requirements. Some NSW programs require a New Energy Tech Approved Seller, and Blue Energy Solar is one.

If you accept our installation quote for the project covered by the assessment, the fee is deducted from the installation price. If you decide not to proceed, or to take a different route, the written summary is still yours to use in your discussions with advisers and lenders.
