Many older and entry-level solar systems only report what the panels produce. Without consumption monitoring, you cannot see how much of that solar your home uses, how much is exported for a low feed-in tariff, or what runs in the evening. That makes it hard to decide whether to shift appliances, add a battery or change tariffs.
The Solar Monitoring Kit is from $390 supplied and installed. This is an indicative starting price; the final price depends on your inverter's compatibility, single or three-phase supply, switchboard space and Wi-Fi coverage at the switchboard.
Monitoring is only useful when it is accurate. A CT clamp on the wrong cable or facing the wrong way gives misleading readings, so we test the installation against real loads before we leave. We choose monitoring that works with your existing inverter where possible, and we explain what the numbers mean so you can act on them, whether that is moving a load to the middle of the day or sizing a battery properly.

Consumption monitoring shows patterns; it does not save energy by itself. The value comes from what you do with the information: moving hot water or pool pumps to solar hours, spotting appliances left running, or sizing a battery from real data.

2. We confirm compatibility and the right monitoring option, then send a written quote.
3. Our licensed electricians install the CT clamps and gateway, usually in one visit.
4. We test the readings against real loads and your solar production.
5. We set up the app with you and explain how to read your usage and export.

Installation is carried out only by our licensed electricians; CT clamps are never supplied for self-installation.
A working internet connection is needed at or near the switchboard for app data.
Switchboard defects or lack of space may need rectification, which is quoted separately.
