Many remote and critical sites rely on a diesel generator for primary or backup power, and generators often spend long hours running at low load, which is inefficient and hard on the engine. A generator and battery hybrid system changes that: solar and batteries supply most of the load, and the generator starts only when needed to recharge the battery or support heavy loads, running at an efficient output when it does.

We service Sydney and regional NSW within roughly 200 km, including rural areas around Bathurst, Orange, Lithgow, Goulburn and the Southern Highlands. Every site is assessed in person before we quote, because remote and critical systems depend on accurate load data. We use premium equipment, including JA Solar panels and batteries and inverters from Sigenergy, GoodWe, Fox ESS and Sungrow, selected to suit each site's requirements.

A diesel generator used as a primary power source can cost $1,500-$4,000+ a year in fuel alone, so reducing runtime matters. How much a hybrid saves depends on the site's loads, solar resource, battery size and configuration. Sites with strong daytime loads and good sun typically see the largest reductions, while winter and cloudy periods need more generator support.
Critical sites need a design that allows for equipment failure and maintenance, not just average conditions. A genuinely off-grid system cannot join a Virtual Power Plant. Grid-connected sites need network approval, and remote installations may involve extra freight and travel costs, shown in the quote.
